Our work at The Lodge at Colonial Williamsburg was unusual in that it included many different areas of expertise: historic restoration of the original Lodge building, renovation of the South and Tazewell wings, new construction of 128 guestrooms, and approximately 100,000 SF of new conferencing, food and beverage facilities. To add complexity to this challenge, the work was phased to allow for a minimum of 200 keys to be available during construction. Additionally, a detailed review by the National Architectural Review Board was required for the approval of all new buildings located within this historic development. The total project has 323 keys.
